Conclusion; their was really only a 2 second difference at most in the speed of both character's, Yamcha did pretty well, even though he took off from the same location (capsule corp) that vegeta did. This feat is like never mentioned or even if its ever mentioned in a discussion that is DB related then people will underrate/downplay the achievement, those people are either yamcha haters, krillin fans or vegeta/goku tard's.
Yamcha was faster than kulilin, gohan, tien and could react to freeza's speed.

That was in Dragon Ball Super after vegita had god ki and absorbed all his power from ssj2 into his base mode/form. Yamcha could cause far greater damage than vegita can.

In GT it seems like goku just got even weaker though 20 years passed after the Buu Saga.
